Celebrity Traitors: What happens in the final if the Traitors get rid of all the Faithfuls?

Could a game of Share or Steal be coming our way?

The Celebrity Traitors has had TV fans gripped ever since it launched on BBC One and as the game gets more tense, viewers are beginning to wonder what the final will look like.

Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr and Cat Burns are the series’ Traitors. All three have so far gone undetected, despite the Faithfuls having major suspicions about Jonathan.

The Faithfuls haven’t managed to capture a Traitor yet and there’s been no recruitments. So, with that in mind, could we be set to see a final consisting of all Traitors when it airs next month?

The Celebrity Traitors: Which Faithfuls are left?

Following several murders and banishments, there are only six Faithfuls remaining on Celebrity Traitors.

Kate Garraway, Nick Mohammed, Lucy Beaumont, Celia Imrie, Joe Marler and David Olusoga remain in the game, at the time of writing.

The Traitors – Jonathan, Alan and Cat – have so far murdered five celebrities, with another five having been banished at the roundtables.

Sir Stephen Fry is the latest star to lose his spot on the BBC show. He was accused of being a Traitor by his co-stars, but in emotional scenes revealed he was actually Faithful.

The next murder will air on Wednesday (October 29). Either Kate, Lucy or Nick will be murdered by the Traitors, but this time the killing will take place face-to-face in a major twist.

What happens if there are no Faithfuls left standing?

With the Faithfuls having failed to find even one Traitor, fans are beginning to wonder what the outcome of the series could be.

As there are only three more episodes to be aired, viewers are growing concerned that the Faithfuls are running out of time. This has led many to ask what happens if no Faithfuls manage to survive, and only the three Traitors are left at the final.

The rules of The Traitors state that if any Traitors remain undetected and reach the final, they will stand a chance of winning the prize money.

After the final roundtable, the remaining players gather at the Fire of Truth and take part in the End Game. They can choose to vote the end the game. Any vote to continue means another banishment vote. The game ends when all players vote to end it or when there are only two players remaining.

Any Traitors in the final automatically win and take home the prize fund. If there are only Faithfuls left, they will all become winners and share the prize fund.

Share or Steal explained

However, if there’s more than one Traitor left, things could get interesting. In overseas versions of the show, where more than one Traitor remains, they have been forced to play a game of Share or Steal.

According to one fan on Reddit: “Basically if the game ends with just Traitors, they have the choice to either steal or split the prize. If they all choose to split then they split the prize pot. If one decides to steal then that person gets the entire prize. However, if everyone chooses to steal then NO ONE gets the money.”

Surely the celebrity Traitors wouldn’t be this greedy, though. Especially given that the prize fund is being donated to charities selected by the celebrities beforehand!

Celebrity Traitors fans brand Faithfuls ‘so bad’

The Faithfuls have failed miserably to find a Traitor and fans have been quick to react. BBC viewers have claimed the group keeping ‘missing’ easy clues. Some have even said they’re ‘losing interest’.

“I am actually losing interest in #CelebrityTraitors because the Faithfuls are so so bad,” one person wrote on social media. A second commented: “Celebrity Traitors is so funny. These lot are legit ignoring hardcore evidence.”

A third insisted: “The Traitors are not playing a great game. The Faithfuls are THAT bad.”

Others highlighted the minor mistakes made by Alan, who has managed to fight off any suspicion from the Faithfuls so far.

“Alan forgetting he had a shield should have been the most obvious point to the Faithfuls that he’s a Traitor. You wouldn’t forget you have a shield if you’re a Faithful. Potentially the next victim to be murdered out of the game. Missed another trick. Again. #CelebrityTraitors,” a fan highlighted.

A second said: “Did Alan say to Joe YOU have to find the Traitors? Surprised no one at the table picked that up..a Faithful would say WE..and also a Faithful would never of forgot they have a shield..#TheTraitors #CelebrityTraitors.”
