BGT: Amanda Holden left ‘baffled’ as she hits back at Ofcom complaints

BGT is currently Ofcom’s most complained about show of the year

| Updated:

Amanda Holden has slammed Britain’s Got Talent drama after the show was hit with 896 Ofcom complaints.

Despite admitting she was “baffled” over the controversy her daring dresses have caused over the last few weeks, the ITV judge couldn’t help but poke fun at the haters.

She shared a shot of herself wearing the lingerie-style gown from Saturday night, along with the word “sexist” written across the snap.

What did Amanda Holden say?

Amanda, 49, was seen standing next to the BGT stage as she posed for the camera.

She wrote: “Just to say this dress got a tiny 136 complaints out of the 896 we apparently got that night.

“Surely there are more terrible and important things to write about… do you agree?

“I’m baffled why it’s still going on.”

Amanda’s BGT dress drama

Amanda first sparked complaints after she wore a revealing dress with a dramatic side split last month.

The dress was so low-cut, viewers claimed they could see her nipples.

As a result, Ofcom received over 200 complaints after the show.

Since then, a further 136 complaints have been made over Amanda’s outfit choice following Saturday’s show.

What else have viewers complained to Ofcom about?

As well as Amanda’s recent semi-final dress, 733 complaints were made because of comic Nabil Abdulrashid’s.

As part of his routine, Nabil said: “People watching will think that it’s another one of those Black Lives Matter guys doing jokes about stop and search.”

He continued: “No, it’s a joke about being fat. Big Narstie and I are both fat, we just both happen to be black too.

Nabil also joked that if he won the £250,000 prize money, he’d spend the money on the African children he sponsors – because they’re his kids.

Meanwhile, over 20,000 viewers complained to the TV governing body after Diversity’s Black Lives Matter-inspired routine.
