Viewers will see Rana lie to her mother later this week that her romance with Kate Connor is over as a way to get to see her dad one last time before he passes away.
But as the family come to terms with what has happened next week, Imran is in for a shock when he finds out he is going to be sharing a car at the funeral with his ex wife, Sabeen.
The soap is set to delve deeper into Imran’s past with his ex arriving on the Street, and things are certainly more than a little tense between the estranged pair as they come face-to-face once again.
Sabeen doesn’t waste any time in rubbing her ex husband up the wrong way, especially when she demands cash from their divorce, on the very same day Imran has said a final goodbye to his father.
The Coronation Street website says: “After the funeral Sabeen comes into The Rovers demanding money for the divorce.
“Imran is impressed when Leanne introduces herself as his PA and says she’ll have to make an appointment.”

With things getting cosy between Imran and Leanne, it looks like reports that she is being lined up as his new love interest are true.
