Audrey Roberts is stunned next week when she gets a prison visiting order through the post from none other than her ex conman lover Lewis Archer.
Corrie fans will remember that Audrey dated the former male escort back in 2009 before he robbed Barlow’s bookies and did a runner from the country.

He returned a few years later, repaid the dollar he stole and promised Audrey he was a changed man before they were split up by Gail Rodwell’s interference.
Lewis then plotted to seduce Gail and rip her off for £40k before disappearing from the cobbles again.
He was most recently seen a few months ago when it looked like he was about to rip Gail off again when he appeared to be in cahoots with dodgy clairvoyant Rosemary.
So imagine Audrey’s shock when she finds she’s received a prison visiting order from Lewis who’s currently serving time at Her Majesty’s pleasure.
Audrey is in for another shock when she speaks to Gail who tells her she’s had £40k deposited into her bank account from Lewis. The hairdresser decides to visit her ex.
When she arrives to see Lewis, he has a declaration for Audrey and tells her he’s paid Gail back and handed himself into the police for ripping Gail off all those years ago.
He tells her that she’s the only woman he’s ever truly loved and informs her that he’s due for release the following Wednesday. What will Audrey do with that information?
And what will Gail do when she discovers that Audrey has seen the man who left her destitute?
It was announced earlier this year that Nigel Havers would be reprising his role as charming chancer Lewis.
Conman Lewis Archer was last seen in 2013 having arrived as a male escort, wooed Audrey Roberts before stealing £40,000 from Gail Platt leaving her heartbroken and almost homeless.
But it seems he isn’t done with Gail and her family as in a June episode it was revealed that he was the mystery man behind fake psychic Rosemary Piper.
