Jenny Connor left Coronation Street for Tenerife last night (Wednesday, October 1), but fans weren’t happy with her exit scenes.
The former Rovers landlady was encouraged by George and Rita to go out and live her life.
And, with this, she booked a one-way flight in a bid to get back behind a bar but this time abroad.

Jenny Connor’s exit from Coronation Street
Jenny Connor‘s lies were rumbled by George last night as he realised that Rita wasn’t as ill as she’d had him believe.
Apologising to George, Jenny tried to explain her actions and admitted that she’d felt so lost after losing her beloved pub.
George gave her some food for thought and had a little chat with Rita to see how they could help Jenny get her life back on track.
Rita Tanner then offered Jenny enough money for a one-way flight, suggesting that she headed off to live with her mate in Tenerife.
In an ‘awfully quick’ turnaround, Jenny decided to do just that and look for a bar managing position abroad.
She then said goodbye, packed her bags and binned her old Rovers landlady sign before heading off to the airport for her new adventure.

Coronation Street fans unimpressed with low-key Jenny exit
With Jenny being a soap legend who first appeared in Corrie back in 1986, Coronation Street fans weren’t happy at all with Jenny Connor’s exit storyline.
The ITV soap had Jenny randomly decide to leave mid-episode, and by the end of it she was gone. And, viewers think that Jenny deserved a much bigger storyline for her final one on the cobbles.
One fan questioned: “The most rushed exit in Corrie history???”
Another complained: “Wow, that was Jenny’s exit. It felt so rushed and was so low-key that it’s such a shame for someone who has been part of Corrie for so long to have such a poor exit.”
A third person added: “The only bit of that worth watching was the last 5 minutes with Jenny and Rita. Another icon departs as Jenny decides life’s too short to spend it weighing out bonbons. But it all felt so rushed and Sally Ann Matthews deserved so much better.”
