So it came as something of a shock to see Carla so flagrantly betraying her pal.

In last night’s episode, the factory boss shunned Roy’s Rolls in favour of buying a coffee from chain Costa, which has recently opened up on Rosamund Street.
As a local businesswoman, you’d think Carla would support small independents – even without taking her relationship with Roy into account!

Her fickle behaviour didn’t go unmissed by viewers either.
One commented on Twitter: “HOW DARE Carla betray Roy by going to Costa? #corrie”
Another jibed: “Oh Carla you naughty girl.”
We ought to forgive her though, as she was more than a little preoccupied.

She was in charge of depositing the money for Johnny’s blackmailers – which fans already know is Jim and Hannah – and then lying in wait to find out who is behind it.
So maybe she just didn’t want to bring any trouble to her bestie’s door…
Still, perhaps Roy needs to start printing loyalty cards… complete with a dictionary definition of what it means!
