Strictly star Balvinder Sopal was rushed to the medics during rehearsals for the show, as she revealed that “something popped” during training.
The soap star, 46, best known for her role in EastEnders, is set to make her debut on the show this Saturday (September 20).

Strictly star Balvinder Sopal rushed to medics
Taking to her Instagram yesterday (Wednesday, September 17), Balvinder revealed that she’d hit a hitch in her Strictly training.
Speaking to the camera, she said: “So it’s the second day of training and I’m at physio. Something popped, and I’m here to find out what exactly.
“I’m fine, everything is okay. I can still walk and still move, but my left glute, my left hip, is feeling a little tight and uneasy, so I’m going to get someone to look at it,” she then continued.
“I can’t tell you, this is the hardest I think I’ve ever worked. The pros are incredible, superhuman, literal gods, honestly,” she then said.

Balvinder then continued. “The way they move, the way they teach you, it’s just brilliant and I’m loving every single second of it,” she said.
“But I’m just going to get checked out by the physio. I hope they go easy on me. But yeah, second day training,” she then added.
Taking to her Instagram story later on, the star revealed that she was back in training.
The star shared a selfie of herself lying on her back, smiling at the camera.
“Day three training done! Hip/glue alllll good – just tight. Thank you for all your messages of love and support. We kept dancing [heart emoji],” she captioned the snap.

Strictly star Dianne Buswell offers first glimpse of her baby bump
In other Strictly-related news, last week, Dianne Buswell and Joe Sugg announced that they’re expecting a baby boy together.
On the weekend, viewers will get a glimpse at Dianne’s baby bump for the first time.
In new pictures of the pre-recorded launch show, Dianne’s baby bump can be seen during her dance with Chris McCausland.
Chris and Dianne reunite on the launch show to perform once more, having won the show last year.
In the pictures, Dianne can be seen wearing a similar dress to the one she wore with Chris during their BAFTA TV Award-winning waltz to You’ll Never Walk Alone. However, the dress is looser-fitting around her waist, doubtless to accommodate her growing bump.
The Australian dancer is expected to continue to dance in the 2025 series, despite her pregnancy news.
As one doctor told ED! recently, as long as the routines are adjusted and Dianne takes extra care, there’s absolutely no reason why she can’t take part alongside her as-yet-unnamed celebrity partner.
