Prince William once received a football kit for daughter Princess Charlotte from the Lionesses.
The Prince of Wales, 43, and his daughter, 10, are both big fans of football. Over the summer, Charlotte joined her father as they watched the England women’s team – aka the Lionesses – beat Spain in the Euro 2025 final.
Now, in an interview, Lioness star Lucy Bronze opened up about Prince William’s support and the sweet gift the team had made for Charlotte when she was born in May 2015.

Prince William’s support for Lionesses and gift for Princess Charlotte
Speaking to HELLO!, Lucy said: “I remember when Charlotte was born, we had a little England Lionesses kit made for her, and we gave it to Prince William when he came to St George’s Park to meet us.
“It’s been nice to watch her grow up as well. And knowing that we’ve tried to impact like little girls like Charlotte in England and empower them to do whatever they want when they’re older.”
Gushing over the Prince of Wales’ support, Lucy said: “He’s been to almost every pre-camp, and he always comes and says good luck to us in person.”
She said they now have a “personal connection” and admitted it’s “always nice to have a little chat” with the prince when he visits the team.

The Lionesses beat Spain in July at the women’s Euros.
Charlotte was there to witness the win alongside her dad William, who is patron of the Football Association.

After the win, Prince William’s official Instagram page said: “An incredible night for @Lionesses and @England in Basel. Congratulations to Sarina, the team and all the support staff Champions!”

King Charles’ message to Lionesses
King Charles also offered his well wishes to the team. He said in a statement: “For more years than I care to remember, England fans have sung that famous chant ‘football’s coming home’.
“As you return home with the trophy you won at Wembley three years ago, it is a source of great pride that, through sporting skill and awesome teamwork, the Lionesses have made those words ring true.
“For this, you have my whole family’s warmest appreciation and admiration. Well done, Lionesses. The next task is to bring home the World Cup in 2027 if you possibly can.”
