The Wanted singer had a pacemaker fitted back in December 2024

The Wanted singer Max George has revealed he’s been back in hospital as he continues to recover from multiple heart surgeries.

Max, 37, received a pacemaker in December 2024 after a heart block was discovered during emergency surgery.

Since then, he has been in and out of hospital for check ups. He also underwent a second operation when it was discovered his pacemaker wires were inserted too deeply and he started to experience pain.

Now, Max has shared that he’s been back to hospital, just days before heading to the States on tour.

Concerns for Max George as Wanted singer back in hospital

Posting on social media, Max sparked concern as he shared a series of images from his hospital bed.

One showed Max as he arrived at hospital, wearing a black T-shirt and cap. He had a cannula fitted in the picture he uploaded to his Stories.

Then, he shared a picture of himself in his hospital bed, lying down in his hospital gown. The next picture was not for the squeamish as Max shared a close-up snap of the cannula.

He captioned the grid post: “Tin man needed a bit of oil before tour. Next stop… USA!!!”

Max’s health issues

Back in December 2024, Max had a pacemaker fitted after experiencing issues with his heart. He was then forced to go back under the knife after experiencing “physical symptoms” in the weeks that followed.

It’s not clear what the latest hospital visit is for. However, Max is due to fly out to the States for a round of gigs with his Wanted bandmate Siva Kaneswaran.

The boys open The Wanted 2.0 tour in Orlando, Florida, on October 10.
