Loose Women’s Linda Robson has opened up about her “up and down year” as she issued a health update.
Last year, while on the ITV show, the 67-year-old presenter revealed that gallstones had damaged her pancreas and, as a result, medics were “keeping an eye” on her.
Now, Linda has issued an update on how she is doing following a “little health scare”.
Loose Women star Linda Robson’s health scare
While on Loose Women last year, Linda opened up to her fellow co-stars about a health scare and admitted that her children were “worried”. She said: “I had a cyst on my pancreas and it’s gone from 1cm to 2cm, so the kids have obviously been really worried about me.”
Linda then revealed that “if it is bad,” then her pancreas will have to be removed, which means she will be diabetic.
She added: “But fingers crossed it won’t happen. Hopefully the cysts haven’t grown. I feel quite positive about it but the kids are obviously worried.”
It’s been an up-and-down sort of year
And now, Linda has shared an update about her health. Talking to Bella Magazine, Linda said that she was “alright now”.
Looking forward to the New Year holiday, Linda said: “At the moment, I’m just thinking about going on holiday as soon as the panto finishes.”
Linda then added: “It’s been an up and down sort of year. I had a little health scare but I’m alright now. So I want to do my panto, and then a week or so after I’ll go away with my two sisters to Cyprus.”
Linda’s friend Pauline’s dementia battle
As Linda said, it has been a rollercoaster past twelve months for the beloved TV star.
Not only has she had to deal with her “little health scare”, but Linda’s good pal Pauline Quirke’s dementia diagnosis was also made public earlier this year.
Actress Pauline was diagnosed in 2021, and in January this year, Pauline’s husband Steve Sheeen confirmed her diagnosis.
Before she discovered Pauline’s dementia diagnosis, Linda and their Birds co-star Lesley Joseph headed to meet the actress for lunch. And it was at that lunch, in 2022, that she knew that Pauline had changed. Pauline now no longer recognises her best friend.
