Channel 4 star Jasmine Harman has resolved to get “fit” by the time she turns 50 later this year.
But, in her own words, after a few months she “hadn’t really got anywhere”. So it’s time to step up to the plate. Or is it?
Fans of A Place In The Sun nevertheless think Jasmine deserves a medal – for dealing with a particularly “tricky” couple on the show recently.
So what’s she said about her health issues? Read on and we’ll fill you in…

Jasmine Harman details struggle after ‘tough few months’ of fitness journey
Earlier this year, A Place in the Sun star Jasmine Harman shared a video with her fans in which she began the countdown to her 50th birthday. She reaches the milestone age in November.
“Fit for 50 update! It’s been a tough few months keeping my #fitforfifty journey going. This week will be 10 months until I turn 50,” she said, recording from the gym of a hotel she used to work out at all the time, with friend and colleague Laura Hamilton.
“I’m eight months into this 18-month journey, fit for 50, and haven’t really got anywhere. I’ve got to do something, I’ve got to start taking it seriously.
I don’t feel like I’m in my best possible shape.
“I haven’t been in the gym, any gym, for years and years and years,” she added. “It feels good actually being here reminding myself of how good it felt when I felt so fit the last time I was here.”
She wrote in the caption that finding herself back in a gym she used to spend time in had given her a push to “get going again” – “and renew that commitment I made to myself eight months ago!”
Since then, she has shared multiple videos of her enjoying some beachside Zumba. What better way to start the week off?

A Place in the Sun star updates fans on Fit for 50 target
Last week, Jasmine Harman noted in a separate video that it is now just four months until her 50th birthday. So how is her fitness journey progressing?
“Whilst I have been exercising quite regularly, eating quite healthily, I don’t feel like I’m in my best possible shape.
“The thing that keeps going through my head is, should I put a big burst on and really make a big effort in the next four months before I turn 50, or… Stop chasing some ideal and accept myself exactly as I am? I am not perfect. But who is? And what is ‘perfection’ anyway?”
That’s the question.
