Jack Osbourne’s last moments with Ozzy before his death

Just over a week before Ozzy died, he performed a farewell concert with Black Sabbath at the Villa Park football ground in Birmingham.

Last night, on his YouTube channel, Jack shared a video titled, ‘A Personal Note Before Moving Forward on the Loss of my Father’.

During the 16-minute upload, he revealed the last time he saw his dad was in the days after his farewell concert. “My dad was great. He was in a good mood, he was happy,” he said.

Jack then revealed how he found out the Black Sabbath star had died. “My father passed away around 10am in the morning UK time, I was in Los Angeles, I had been back for about a week.

“After his show, I stuck around for a week with my kids and hung out at the family house in England and it was awesome, my dad was in an amazing mood. It was a lot of fun and, looking back now, and I am so grateful for that time. My dad was great, he was happy.”

Speaking about the day Ozzy died, Jack said: “I woke up in Los Angeles to a knock on my house door at around 3.45 in the morning.”

An emotional Jack continued: “Someone who has worked for my family for about 30 years now was knocking on my door and when I looked through my window and I saw it was him, I knew something bad had happened.

“I was informed that my father had passed.”

‘He’s not suffering any more’

Before pausing, Jack admitted he felt a rush of emotions following the sad news.

“So many thoughts, there was a level of like: ‘Okay, he’s not struggling. He’s not suffering any more.’ And that is something,” he said.

“I wish he was still here, you know? I wish he was still with us all, but he was having a rough go and I think people saw that at the show.”
