Gemma Collins ‘will have secret meeting with DOI bosses about potential comeback’

She boosted ratings during her stint on the show in January

Gemma Collins will reportedly have a meeting with Dancing On Ice bosses about potentially returning.

The reality TV star appeared on the ITV skating show earlier this year and continuously made headlines during her stint thanks to her on-air clash with judge Jason Gardiner and falling face-first onto the ice during one of her live performances.

But now, it’s been reported that Gemma received a call from producers but isn’t sure what they’re planning on offering her.

A source told the Daily Star: “Gemma was called up earlier this month and asked to go for dinner with the producers of Dancing on Ice.

“She’s not sure exactly what they want to ask her but she has agreed to meet them and talk things through this week.

“Gemma was a massive ratings success last time around so getting her onboard would make sense.”

Ent Daily has contacted reps for Gemma and Dancing On Ice for comment.

One of Gemma’s most memorable moments on the show was when she clashed with Jason.

The falling out was prompted when he said Gemma was channelling the late model Anna Nicole Smith instead of Marilyn Monroe during one routine, and she then accused Jason of “selling stories” about her live on air.

But their bickering didn’t stop once the show was over.

Back in March, Jason apologised for comparing Gemma to a refrigerator after she accused him of body-shaming her.

The judge, who recently announced his departure from the show, insisted at the time that he didn’t realise his remark had caused such a backlash.

When told his comments had been interpreted as “fat-shaming”, he said on Heart Radio: “Oh god no. If people are taking it that way I’m really sorry.

“It was a way of diffusing any tension and making light of the situation.”

Last month, Jason revealed he had left the series telling his fans on Instagram: “After all these years I feel it’s time for me to say goodbye to my judging role and return to things I have been putting on the back burner for a while.

“To all of my DOI fans I really thank you for your support and encouragement over the years, I know we’ve gone through some controversies and I’m grateful you got my unique judging style and honesty.”
