The Chase has been branded a fix after Anne Hegerty, aka The Governess, was caught red-handed breaking the rules.

But surely The Chasers should beat them on their own?

During a recent episode, contestant Jan was asked: “Who became the governor of Idaho in 2007?”
Host Bradley Walsh began to read the answers: “Butch Otter, Study Muskrat or Gritty Beaver.”

While everyone was trying to control their laughter at “Gritty Beaver”, Anne selected her answer before Bradley had finished speaking – which is totally against the rules.
Instantly, she was given a telling off by the former Coronation Street star.

He shouted: “You’re not allowed to press that button until I’ve said the last thing.”
To which Anne replied: “Well, you obviously weren’t going to press [your button].”
But Bradley was clearly annoyed, saying: “It doesn’t matter, it’s against the rules. You’re not allowed to do that.”

Luckily, Jan answered correctly and managed to grab £5,000 for the prize pot.
Brad was clearly still very annoyed and said: “I’m going to report you to The Chase police!”
Anne, you’ve been warned!
