Chaser Anne Hegerty has revealed she’s recently lost more than two stone in weight.
Anne, 67, found fame as The Governess on the ITV1 quiz show. And it sounds as though the series’ wardrobe team may need to step in thanks to Anne’s changing shape…
Anne Hegerty shares two-stone weight loss
The Chase star Anne has revealed how she’s lost 30lb. She said she’s done it by becoming more active. Anne has also shut down suggestions that she may have used a weight-loss drug to help her shift the weight. But it’s not something she’s ruling out…
Speaking to the Daily Mail, she said: “I’m not doing anything deliberately. And some of my clothes do need altering. I think I’ve lost about 30 pounds.
“I did think to myself that I need to get more active, because I really don’t walk much and I should do more of that. Also, I need to do more stretches, because I’ve no core strength, and I think actually that may be a good idea.”
Weight-loss jabs recommended by her GP
While many Brits aren’t eligible for weight-loss jabs through their GP, Anne has said that hers recommended it to her due to her being pre-diabetic.
“My doctor said to me about me being prediabetic, and suggested something like a weight-loss jab, and I told him I’d think about it. But I’m only thinking about it, and it’s only because he said it’s to stay off diabetes. I think I’m okay, but I’ll bear it in mind. He keeps being disappointed when I haven’t got diabetes,” she added.
Anne’s jungle weight loss
When she headed into the I’m A Celebrity… jungle back in 2018, Anne lost weight thanks to the show’s very restrictive diet.
After she exited the jungle, Anne revealed she had lost a stone. However, she was informed by the show’s medics that “everyone always puts it straight back on again” when they leave the jungle.
