Amy Childs admits she’s ‘gone too far’ with her weight loss as she shares frighteningly thin selfie

The star has also divided fans on her 'overweight' before snap

Amy Childs has shared a picture of herself looking extremely thin and admitted she’s gone overboard with her weight loss.

The mum-of-four, 35, made the confession alongside ‘before and after’ pictures of her diet and fitness regime.

Amy’s fans had previously raised fears after noticing she had become very slender.

And now Amy has, herself, agreed that she’s taken it too far.

Amy Childs on weight loss: ‘More than I wanted’

Amy made her honest admission in a new post on Instagram.

The TOWIE star shared a picture of herself in gym clothes, taken before she embarked on her weight loss journey, and another snap taken months later.

In the second picture, Amy is wearing a slinky leopard print dress with a red rose print.

Amy wrote alongside her post a lengthy message in which she admitted she’s now trying to put weight back on.

“Can’t believe I’m uploading this picture but here goes. The journey so far…,” Amy said.

“So I have to be honest with you all, I was overweight and unhappy and wanted to achieve. So I decided to lose weight, during that process, I battled with stress and lost a little more than I wanted.

“Now I am working with Jon to start phase 2!! Which I am so excited about.”

The ‘Jon’ Amy is working with describes himself as a ‘Fat Loss & Health Coach’ on Instagram.

Amy goes on the say she is trying to now “gain healthy weight” and improve her muscle mass.

But she’s admitted she is struggling.

Amy continued: “[I want to] increase muscle mass, gain healthy weight and become more toned! (Will keep you updated with pictures on my story).

“Got to be honest I am finding this is harder than losing weight, but with @jon_jkphysique being so supportive, understanding and the expert at nutrition, we are a work in progress.”

Fans react to Amy’s weight admission

Amy has been applauded by some fans for being honest about her journey.

Others, however, have raised concerns about her description of her first picture being “overweight”.

One fan wrote in the comments: “Please the first picture was not overweight.”

Another added: “You are not over weight in the first picture. A better phrase could have been that you wanted to eat healthier, become fitter and in the process tone your body.”

And a third said: “That first photo is a picture of health but you’ve labelled it overweight.”

But someone else told Amy: “As someone who struggles massively with my weight I applaud you for this post – whilst my struggle is the opposite of yours it is still important to share your experience.”

Agreeing, another follower penned: “Trying to put on weight is harder than losing it for sure, you got this girl!”

Amy was also told by one fan: “You look great, love your honesty.”
