Star had meltdown after mixing pills and booze on flight

Actress Selma Blair has opened up about THAT mid-air meltdown.

The 44-year-old revealed that she drank wine and took a pill on board the flight from Los Angeles to Cancun – which gave her a “total psychotic blackout.”

During the outburst, back in June, she was overheard shouting: “He burns my private parts….he beats me. He’s going to kill me.”

She was taken off the plane at LAX airport on a stretcher and rushed to a nearby hospital.

Speaking about the meltdown for the first time on TV show The Talk, the Legally Blonde star said: “I had a glass of wine, someone gave me a pill that I thought was something that I had taken before, which I don’t take on a regular basis.

“It was completely different. A very bad choice and I had a total psychotic blackout.”

The mom-of-one added: “It was horrible and frightening and I had empathy for myself actually afterwards because actually it was so out of character for me, especially now that I am a mother.”

The Cruel Intentions star had enjoyed a trip to Cancun with her son Arthur, four, and his father Jason Bleick before the incident.

The family had appeared to have a great time on the trip – with Blair even posting a selfie on board the plane before they set off.

The post read: “We’re leaving on a jet plane, Dad is already sleep. Not for long. Bwahahahha .#fathersdayweekend.”

The actress, who recently played Kris Jenner in The People v. O.J. Simpson, released a statement at the time she apologizing for her behavior.

“I made a big mistake yesterday,” she said. “After a lovely trip with my son and his Dad, I mixed alcohol with medication, and that caused me to black out and led me to say and do things that I deeply regret.”

Blair said her son was asleep with his headphones on during her meltdown.
