- He taught English as a second language in China for five years before returning home to fulfil his dreams as a professional writer
Joel has a long and storied history in entertainment journalism, starting with an internship at Total Film in which they let him interview Emma Watson. Since then, he has gone on to write for Total Film on a regular basis, and also writes reviews and features for Starburst Magazine, Horror DNA, Rue Morgue Magazine and Comic Book Resources - as well as writing soap and showbiz news and features for Entertainment Daily.
He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature (Joint Honours) at Birmingham City University.
