Host of Good Morning Britain Susanna Reid admitted she is fearful of checking herself for breast cancer.
Susanna, 54, was joined by co-host Ed Balls, 58, for Wednesday morning’s (June 4) show. The presenters welcomed former I’m A Celeb star Giovanna Fletcher, who discussed the importance of regular health checks.

GMB star Susanna Reid shares cancer fears
Earlier today, singer Jessie J announced she had been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer in April. This prompted Susanna and Giovanna to emphasise how crucial it is to self-examine.
However, despite being fully aware of the importance, Susanna admitted she is “reluctant” to check herself.
“I have to admit, and I’m sure I’m not alone, that I am sometimes reluctant to check myself because I am worried about what I might find,” she said.
Susanna insisted it is “entirely irational”, despite stating that Jessie J had pointed out that it is better to find something sooner rather than later.
Giovanna agreed, telling Susanna and viewers at home that people should not be “scared” of checking themselves. She believed it should be a part of everyone’s “monthly routine” so it becomes more of a regular check and less of a big deal.
“Psychologically, there’s a process of denial; if I don’t find it, it’s not there, and I don’t need to worry about it,” Susanna continued.

Jessie J cancer diagnosis
After announcing to fans that she has breast cancer, Jessie revealed she will be taking time out from work soon.
Next Sunday (June 15), Jessie will perform at Wembley Stadium for the Capital FM Summertime Ball. Following her performance, she revealed she will “disappear” to have surgery.
“It’s a very dramatic way to get a boob job,” she joked after stating she has “been in and out of tests” over the past few weeks.
