Strictly Come Dancing viewers have been left annoyed at the judges as the “underscore” Karen Carney.
Tonight (October 18) Strictly Come Dancing continued, with the remaining stars pulling out all the stops to try and get closer to taking home the glitterball.
But it seems some viewers weren’t too happy with the scores for Lioness star Karen Carney and dance partner Carlos Gu. And many were left wondering why their scores didn’t match their comments.

Karen Carney and Carlos Gu perform a quickstep
Tonight, Karen and Carlos impressed the judges by performing a quickstep.
The pair had the tough challenge of opening the show – a spot which is always nerve-wrecking for the stars. But Karen didn’t let the nerves get to her.
The dance was highly praised, with every judge telling Karen that she had improved from previous weeks. In the past, judges had been under fire by fans for their comments to Karen.
During the dance, Karen did have an accidental slip on her dress. But all the judges reminded her that it was all about how she recovered from that as a slip can always happen.
Judge Motsi complimented: “You look more settled now. The first time you did the ballroom dances, you were a bit like ‘where am I?’.”
Shirley agreed: “From your tango, that was an improvement. Anything with energy, you are outstanding. There was a bit of gapping but some of the footwork here was much better.”
Even Craig seemed impressed with the dance, telling the star: “Slipping happens to the best of us, darling. But it’s recovery that’s important.”
However, despite the compliments, the star scored a combined result of 27. Craig gave them a six, while the rest of the judges gave a seven.

Strictly fans think Karen deserved more
Strictly fans took to social media to share how they felt Karen and Carlos were under-marked.
But fans took to X after the scores were released, one fan commented: “6? 7?? Very underscored. Surely she deserved more?”
Another penned: “She deserved 8’s at least.”
“Surely that was worth an 8” a third fan penned.
Although one fan penned: “I actually think they were really fair with the scores. She did have a slip.”
An annoyed fan added: “Wow. Craig was a bit harsh. I would have scored her a seven. Glad Shirley, Motsi and Anton gave Karen a seven.”
However, other fans expressed how impressed they were with the dance.
One penned: “Woohooo. Karen and Carlos. What a way to open the show.”
Another added: “Karen and Carlos slaying as ever.”
