Lorraine Kelly has revealed when she hopes to be back on her breakfast ITV show following her recent operation.
The Scottish presenter, 65, revealed earlier this month that she was in hospital to undergo keyhole surgery after feeling unwell for “a little while”. Lorraine said: “I had some scans and tests and I have to have my ovaries and tubes taken out.”
As a result, she has taken a step back from presenting her self-titled ITV programme. Christine Lampard and Andi Peters have been filling in. Meanwhile, usual Lorraine stand-in Ranvir Singh has also been hospitalised for “urgent” surgery.
Now, Lorraine Kelly has revealed when she hopes to be back on screen. The update comes after she missed last night’s TV BAFTAs.

Lorraine Kelly missed BAFTAs after operation
On Sunday (May 11), the annual BAFTA TV Awards took place at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall. The glitzy bash celebrated the best telly in the past 12 months.
Last year, Lorraine was honoured with the BAFTA Special Award. But for this year’s ceremony, the TV legend was a no-show.
A source claimed to The Sun last week: “Lorraine is worlds away from where she was this time last year when she was being honoured with a special BAFTA award.”
The insider added: “She’s been through a lot with her recent health scare and is quite rightly taking some time out to properly recover. Lorraine is already missed by the ITV team and will be desperate to get back to the day job.”

Lorraine ‘to take extended break’ from morning show
Reports then surfaced that Lorraine would be taking an extended break from her ITV show.
However, this afternoon (May 12), Lorraine has proved she’s made of strong stuff. And the TV star has shared that she hopes to be fighting fit and back to work next Monday (May 19).

Sharing a picture of herself with her granddaughter Billie, Lorraine was seen smiling as she cuddled the tot in bed.
She captioned the pic: “Thanks so much for all your get well wishes. Billie providing the medicine ever with lots of cuddles for her granny. Hopefully back to work on Monday. I’ve missed you.”
