Big Brother fans vow to ‘call Ofcom’ after fan-favourite Yinrun faces major blow

Oh no!

Big Brother 2023 fans are not too happy with what happens in tonight’s episode – so much so they have threatened to call OfCom.

The iconic reality series has been back on TV screens for the past two weeks. And it’s fair it’s at it has given us some iconic moments already. Not to mention, the show’s fans have already decided on their winner – Yinrun.

But despite fans loving the new series, some have been left up in arms after Yinrun suffers a major blow in tonight’s show (October 25).

Big Brother 2023 fans fuming

In the Big Brother episode, the housemates have to nominate for a third time. However, as soon as they’re done Big Brother tells the housemates to gather around the sofa – as there’s been another rule break.

Big Brother says: “Housemates. The rules regarding the discussion of nominations were clearly explained to you. Today at 1:18pm, this rule was broken by one of you. Both of their nominations have been revoked and they will also go to jail.” Big Brother adds: “The housemate that broke the rule is Yinrun.”

Yinrun then stands up and admits: “I feel very sorry because it might be a punishment for all housemates. I still say it because I was so nervous today and I don’t know who to choose. I apologise – sorry everyone.”

As well as serving jail time, Yinrun’s nominations for this week have been revoked and will not count.

Yinrun sent to jail

However, as fans will know Big Brother doesn’t take rule breaks lightly. Yinrun is forced into an orange jumpsuit before heading into the garden to spend time in jail.

And fans are fuming to hear that Yinrun is sent to jail. Rushing over to X, formerly known as Twitter, one person watching the live feed quipped: “WHY’S YINRUN IN JAIL OMG I ONLY WENT FOR A SHOWER.”

Someone else added: “FREE YINRUN! We need to protect her at all costs.” A third said: “I’m calling @OfCom and @MetPoliceUK. How dare @BBUK send YINRUN to jail. This unjust is deplorably unacceptable.”

Another viewer chimed in and wrote: “I can’t believe @BBUK have imprisoned YINRUN. I’m heartbroken for her.” “FREE HER! I’m calling Ofcom,” another complained.

However, others pointed out that Big Brother jailed Hallie and Olivia for discussing nominations but didn’t take away their votes. “Feels like her punishment is way worse,” said one viewer. Another added: “So why weren’t Hallie & Olivia’s nominations revoked last week? What an absolute joke BB.”

“Yinrun crying tonight what if I contact Ofcom?” another threatened. “Not me straight to Ofcom cause Yinrun’s noms are removed when Hallie and Olivia’s weren’t,” said another.

Not everyone agreed, though: “People contacting OFCOM about Yinrun’s jail sentence. The #bbuk fandom are UNHINGED!” another laughed.

Big Brother is on ITV2 tonight at 9pm.
