Coronation Street has aired a shock death in its early release episode on ITVX, with a character dropping dead from a heart attack.
The death caused shockwaves, particularly for Todd and Theo, who’ve been struggling with their relationship lately.
Here’s what went down in the latest episode of Coronation Street.
Shock death on the Cobbles
Monday’s instalment saw Theo discover that his former friend Noah had died.
Earlier in the episode, Todd Grimshaw supported Theo as he attended a court hearing in order to get access to his kids.
Todd immediately took his support too far. While Theo was accused of having a violent temper, Noah made derogatory remarks under his breath. Todd lost his temper with Noah, and when Todd then lunged at him, he was escorted out by security.
However, Theo received good news and it was revealed he has been granted access to his kids.
But the war of words with Noah wasn’t over. The group came face-to-face in the Bistro, with Noah revealing to Theo and Todd that Danielle is appealing the access decision.
Noah, who has been dating Theo’s ex wife Danielle, then made several homophobic jibes, referring to Theo and Todd as “disgusting” and claiming they had a mental illness.
Danielle later arrived demanding to know what Theo had said or done to Noah. She then shared the shocking news that Noah had dropped down dead from a suspected heart attack!
Theo broke down over Noah’s death in Coronation Street
Despite their recent differences and Noah attempting conversion therapy on Theo, Noah’s death hit Theo hard.
He explained to Todd that he and Noah had been best mates and it was only later in life that Noah changed. Theo shared that he used to look up to Noah and that Noah wasn’t always a “bad guy”.
As Theo broke down in tears, Todd tried to support his partner.
After cutting the elastic band on his wrist, Theo made Todd promise that he’ll never leave him.
