An unwelcome surprise for Rhona
As the storyline begins, Marlon rushes to make a lunch date with Rhona. Things are finally on an even keel for her and Marlon, with him finally having made up with Paddy.
But an unexpected arrival threatens to turn their world upside down. Rhona’s ex-husband, Gus surprises Rhona by suddenly reappearing after years apart.
Reeling from her ex-husband’s sudden return to her life, Rhona tells Gus that they’ll have a proper catch up the next day. But it quickly becomes clear that Gus has sought Rhona out for a reason. What does Gus want?

The next day, Gus unburdens himself to an increasingly uncomfortable Rhona. Gus tells her that he wants to use one of their frozen baby embryos.
The news shocks and horrifies Rhona. She had thought that the embryos had already been destroyed years ago.
