EastEnders viewers still believe Phil is the father of Sharon’s baby, despite pre-natal DNA results proving he isn’t.
In last night’s episode of EastEnders (July 29 2019) Sharon received the DNA results of her unborn baby.
The pre-natal DNA test excluded Sharon’s husband Phil from being the father meaning that her stepdaughter’s fiancé Keanu Taylor is the father. (Unless there’s a big secret NONE of us know about…)
However, despite Phil being excluded as the biological father, viewers still think he is the baby’s father.
I’m now confident the baby will be Phil’s and this will be revealed in a twist later down the line, I just don’t think the show would pass on the opportunity to have a Mitchell-Watts legacy child. #EastEnders

After Sharon found out the baby’s paternity, she ripped the letter up and put it into a purple plastic bag.
She later dumped the bag in a bin on Albert Square.
Unfortunately for Sharon, Bailey and Keanu’s half-brother Keegan were working on Bailey’s recycling project for school and came across the letter.
Although Bailey and Keegan didn’t see what the letter contained they decided to get back at the Mitchells for the amount of rubbish they produce.
Bailey dipped into the Arches and left the carrier bag, containing the letter, near Phil’s desk. Will he open it and put together the pieces (why would he?!), or will someone else?
Fortunately for Keanu – for now – the letter doesn’t reveal who the father of the baby is… but surely some Albert Square sleuth will get to work…
This left viewers questioning why Sharon didn’t put the letter through a shredder.
Last year, Sharon began having an affair with Phil’s 19-year-old Arches employee Keanu.
Sharon ended the affair with the mechanic and, the same day, Louise and Keegan broke up. Both heartbroken, Louise and Keanu ended up sleeping together in the Arches.

At that time, Sharon encouraged Phil to send Keanu on a job to Spain where he was savagely beaten up by six men.
When Keanu returned, Phil paid him to keep an eye on Louise, worried that some men may be after him and the family, but Keanu eventually started to fall for Phil’s daughter.
Louise soon discovered she was pregnant, but also discovered her dad was paying Keanu to be with her.
After Louise told Keanu she had aborted their baby and wanted nothing more to do with him, Keanu was left heartbroken and ended up sleeping with Sharon again.

Phil arranged for Keanu to go away to work at another garage so Louise didn’t have to see him, but after some encouragement from Sharon and Bex, Louise ran to tell Keanu that she was still pregnant.
As the pair made up, Sharon discovered she was also expecting. Since then, she has had a nagging feeling about her baby’s paternity. Now she knows… how long before someone else figures it out?
EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
