Actress Sally Carman has responded to fans of Coronation Street who were left confused after spotting something strange about Abi Franklin.

In Wednesday’s episode (October 2 2019) Abi and Tyrone had an arm wrestling match in the garage.

However, viewers quickly spotted that Abi had perfectly manicured nails despite working as a mechanic!

However, Corrie actress Sally Carman, who plays Abi, did have an explanation!

She quickly replied that her alter ego’s nails and hands were so clean because she wore gloves!

Many fans think Abi and Kevin are going to get together.

She is definitely looking out for him as later in the episode, Abi ended up dropping herself in it when Kevin’s sister Debbie turned up.

Thinking Debbie was Martine, the woman who stood Kevin up on his date, Abi had a go at Debbie but was soon embarrassed to find out she was Kevin’s sister.

Abi first appeared in 2017 as Seb’s alcoholic, drug-addict mother.

She is also mum to twins Charlie and Lexi.

Since she overdosed and lost custody of the twins, Abi has tried to get her life back together with the help of Sally.

After getting fired from the garage and trying to get her qualifications so she could apply for more jobs, Abi later got her job back working with Kevin and Tyrone.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
