Loose Women viewers divided over Christmas etiquette expert

He certainly got people talking

Loose Women invited etiquette expert William Hanson to the studios today to give an appraisal of their Christmas cheer.

And it’s fair to say he wasn’t very impressed with their festive offerings.

He joined Christine Lampard, Linda Robson, Janet Street-Porter and Stacey Solomon to discuss the correct way to do Christmas.

Commenting on the studio decorations that the gingerbread men were made of polystyrene and that tinsel on trees was “common” some viewers felt he was just being a snob, while others thought he was quite right in his judgements.

William also told that the biggest rule broken on Christmas Day is that people open their presents too early – he believes you should be washed and dressed in a collared shirt and tie before you begin tearing off that wrapping paper.

Good luck trying to get kids to go along with that, William!

Some viewers thought he was being ridiculous with his comments.

But others thought William was quite right and that he was hilarious.

Christine ended the interview by announcing that maybe Loose Women were just common!
