Lewis Hamilton accused of humiliating three-year-old nephew online

He's removed the offending post

Lewis Hamilton has deleted a story post from his Instagram account after a backlash from his followers.

He asks the young boy: “Why are you wearing a princess dress?

“Is this what you got for Christmas? Why did you ask for a princess dress for Christmas?

“Boys don’t wear princess dresses!”

The little boy then giggles as he points his wand at his 32-year-old uncle.

Lewis apparently saw the error of sharing such a comment on social media after he was accused of shaming the child.

As Nicole Scherzinger’s ex deleted the post, comments on it are also no longer visible.

But people have been making their feelings known on Twitter.

This Morning medic Dr Ranj Singh has hit out, railing against any children being shamed for just being themselves.

Others pointed out that Lewis always follows his own rules when it comes to fashion and he should extend that courtesy…

Lewis is yet to respond to the furore; we have contacted his reps for comment.
