Matthews was allegedly employed by an elderly couple after they met her in church.
They were in need of extra care after the 65-year-old wife was too frail to look after herself following a hospital stay.
Her duties were said to have included tidying, cleaning and washing.
But just weeks after she took the job she was asked to leave, after the man’s wife feared she was getting too close to her husband.

A source told The Sun: “They paid her to come round every day to help care for the woman and do the housework.”
“At first, things were great and they were glad of the help in the house but soon things became tense.”
It has emerged that the couple went on holiday in a bid to patch up their relationship.

Matthews gained notoriety after her part in the kidnap of her nine-year-old daughter.
Shannon Matthews was drugged and hidden under a bed in Dewsbury, West Yorks in 2008.
Matthews and her then-boyfriend Craig Meehan’s uncle Michael Donovan carried out the kidnap and planned to share prize money after generating publicity from the tragedy.
Shannon was found by police after 24 days and Matthews served four years in jail, half her eight-year sentence.
