Josie Gibson has candidly opened up about the stress she is under while filming her new ITV show.
Presenter Josie has been a regular on telly screens for years. From stints on This Morning to Celebrity Catchphrase – which airs today (November 29) – Josie is booked and busy.
Currently, the mum-of-one is filming a new 2026 show for ITV. But according to Josie, the stress is starting to take its toll on her…
Josie Gibson filming new TV show
Josie is currently renovating her home in Somerset and is filming the entire thing for a new ITV show: Josie Gibson’s Big Country Build.
The news of her show was announced earlier this year. Josie revealed: “My dream is to build a house as eco and luxurious as possible where you are immersed in the sanctuary of nature.”
She then said: “I want to use the acres of land to try and do my best to have a little small holding. I want bees, birds, badgers, to all live in harmony. Though, I’m becoming increasingly concerned that my harmonious dream is slowly turning into a construction nightmare.”
Josie – who has undergone a weight-loss journey recently – then added: “I can’t wait to bring the audience along on this journey with me!”
I have bitten off a lot more than I can chew.
However, with the project now underway, Josie has revealed just how stressful the process has been for her.
“I’m trying to do it as cheaply as possible. But I have bitten off a lot more than I can chew,” she told Closer last month.
Josie then said: “The amount of stress it’s taken to this stage is ridiculous. And everything has been on my shoulders. I’ve even started to have some eyesight issues because of it.”
What happens in Josie Gibson’s Big Country?
Josie Gibson’s Big Country is set to air next year over seven episodes. On the show, Josie enlists the help her family: brothers, scrap metal traders Josh and Charlie, and builder cousin Tom. Also the locals will be lending a hand.
“Josie is determined that her new home, and the entire development plan, will be centred around her passion for the environment and sustainable living. Audiences will follow Josie as she looks to grow her own food. And harness her own energy, in a bid to ensure her new home and the stunning landscape around her is protected and preserved,” the announcement read.
“From installing an underground heat pump to setting up auto flowing beehives, Josie will explore ways to maintain her four acres of land in the most eco-friendly way.”
It then added: “The extensive renovation will be followed every step of the way as Josie attempts to assemble her dream home, complete with an on-site gym, walk-in wardrobe, and blacked out windows.”
Watch Josie on Celebrity Catchphrase on Saturday (November 29) at 10:15am on ITV2.
