Soap fans call for Corrie fave to be brought back from the dead

Viewers still miss Kylie Platt

| Updated:

It’s a little sloppy to bring a soap character back after they’ve been killed off on-screen.

But it’s not impossible. Just look at Dallas – they turned an entire series into a dream sequence so Bobby could come back.

Then there was Vera in Corrie, Ailsa in Home & Away, Pat in EastEnders… Ashley in Emmerdale. They’re all at it.

So, if Corrie bosses really wanted to make their fans’ dreams come true and bring back another much-loved and greatly deceased character, they could!

It’s coming up to a year since Kylie Platt breathed her last on the cobbles.

And, although David seems to be getting over his wife’s death – shame on him! – viewers are still devastated.

They have been begging for her to return – somehow – on actress Paula Lane’s social media.

One wrote on Instagram: “Come back from the dead please, u are a Christian, they come back for their after life, please let it be my fave character of coronation Street Kylie.” [sic]

(Er, think they might be a bit confused there…)

A second person echoed this, writing: “Miss you 😘 I think you should come back from the dead somehow.”

Another said: “Miss you so much on Corrie, Paula, please come back!”

A third exclaimed: “I miss you❤Corrie isn’t the same anymore😫need you back💕.”

Kylie was killed off in hugely emotional scenes last July, after being stabbed by teenage yob Clayton while trying to protect her friend Gemma.

She died in David’s arms on the cobbles – just as they were due to fly out to begin a new life in Barbados. SOB!

Perhaps Paula could come back as a twin sister none of us – including her – knew about? Hey, if it’s good enough for EastEnders…
