10 tweets from raging Strictly fans claiming the judges got it totally wrong sending Eddie home: ‘He was done dirty!’

Wrong decision?!

Eddie Kadi and Karen Hauer left Strictly Come Dancing at the weekend following the dreaded dance-off.

But fans think the wrong person was sent home. Instead, many thought Zara McDermott and Graziano Di Prima should have gone.

So, did the judges get it wrong? Here’s tweets from some pretty raging viewers who certainly think so!

Eddie Kadi and Karen Hauer leave Strictly

All four of the judges – Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Anton Du Beke and Motsi Mabuse – chose to save Zara.

As he was announced as the latest celebrity to leave the competition on Sunday night, Eddie said: “I’ve really enjoyed this, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do – I love dancing. This has been the highest moment of my career – it’s the happiest I’ve ever been. But not just for me – my family – my little baby girl is at home doing the Men in Black dance.”

For the first time this series I think the judges made the wrong decision.

He added: “More importantly this little African boy, I just wanted my culture to shine. Everything I stand for, when it comes to my comedy, when it comes to my presenting, is based on my culture, is based on my upbringing and I wanted that to shine most importantly.”

Paying tribute to pro dance partner Karen, Eddie said: “Even more importantly this wonderful Queen, there are two parts to this show. We want to entertain. I believe that God has brought this to me. I just want to make people happy and this gem over here has kept me happy – I love you so much. God bless you.”

After the result was announced, plenty of viewers were furious. Many claimed the judges got it completely wrong!

One person said: “For the first time this series I think the judges made the wrong decision. Was Eddie’s samba good? No. But it was SO much better than Zara’s dance imo.”

Another wrote: “I think the judges got it wrong this week. Zara should’ve gone.”

Someone else raged: “What utter tosh. Zara did very little dancing… she spent most of the time being lifted. Eddie was far more mobile and active. Judges…you got it wrong.”

Meanwhile, a fourth added: “Wrong couple were sent home tonight,” followed by an angry face emoji.

How did viewers react?

Elsewhere, another viewer ranted: “Strictly result was wrong. So wrong. It’s never been so wrong. Cannot stress enough just how wrong.” They certainly think it was the wrong choice!

Another added: “Gutted for Karen… Eddie was robbed. At least he actually danced…Zara was in the air for most of her routine. Defo wrong result.”

Someone else tweeted: “So sad to see @EddieKadi & @karen_hauer leave #Strictly this weekend. I felt wrong decision & based mainly on lifts from the other couple which is not fair!”

“WRONG decision from the judges tonight,” one viewer insisted.

In addition, another wrote: “The wrong decision imo. Eddie has much more flow, rhythm and musicality and got a 10 last week.”

Finally, someone said: “Eddie was done so dirty by that music. Sounded nothing like the song.”

Strictly continues this Saturday (October 28) from 6.40pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. It Takes Two airs weeknights from 6.30pm on BBC Two.
