Blow for Strictly star Chris Robshaw as he’s ‘almost certain’ to be the next contestant axed

Chris and partner Nadiya Bychkova have faced the dance-off before

| Updated:

Chris Robshaw is predicted to be the next Strictly Come Dancing star axed from this year’s series.

The former rugby player, who is paired with pro dancer Nadiya Bychkova, faced the bottom two during the first public vote. However, he was saved by the judges.

Last weekend, Chris and Nadiya avoided the dance-off following their Paso Doble. Tomorrow night (October 18), the couple will perform a salsa to Maria by Ricky Martin.

However, before hitting the dancefloor, they’ve already been hit with bad news…

Strictly star Chris Robshaw tipped to be next contestant axed

In exclusive odds from Sportscasting, Chris and Nadiya are the favourite to be voted off this time.

“The traders are now almost certain that Chris and Nadiya’s journey is nearing its end,” Shane Orton, head of betting PR ClickOutMedia, told ED!.

“The rugby legend opened the week at 11/10 to be eliminated, but a major market shift has seen him shorten to just 1/2 to go next.”

Stefan Dennis, who pulled out last weekend due to illness, will return to the show this weekend with Dianne Buswell. Sadly for them, bookies do not have high hopes for them either (7/2).

“For those looking beyond the favourite, Stefan and the lovely Dianne could find themselves in danger,” Shane added.

Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon, who faced the dance-off on Sunday (October 12), fall just behind (6/1).

“Balvinder and Julian will need a big bounce-back after their surprise appearance in last week’s bottom two,” She continued.

George Clarke named a ‘frontrunner’

Luckily for George Clarke and Alexis Warr, they remain the favourite to take home the Glitterball trophy.

“George Clarke remains the frontrunner and has shortened further into 11/10,” Shane shared.

However, Ellie Goldstein and Vito Coppola have had a “remarkable rise”.

“Now into 7/1 and the fourth favourite, the inspirational model has gone from a shaky start to capturing the hearts of the nation with her progress each week,” he told ED!.

Shane continued: “At the other end of the market, there have been some significant drifts. Karen Carney has slipped back to 14/1 after once being as short as 9/2.”
