I’m A Celeb’s Becky Vardy could start to crack soon, according to X Factor pal

Who even knew they were friends?!

Becky Vardy’s been a force to be reckoned with in the I’m A Celebrity jungle so far.

But that could be about to change, according to her close pal, former X Factor winner Sam Bailey.

In a new chat with Reveal magazine, the singer admitted Becky, 35, could start to crumble once the magnitude of being away from her four children starts to hit home.

“She won’t take any [bleep] from anyone, but I think the cracks will start to show soon because she’ll be missing her kids,” said Sam.

“The only time I’ve ever seen her cry, though, was on her wedding day, and they were tears of joy – she’s a tough cookie!”

In a separate interview with New magazine, Becky’s close friend, Sarah Smith, revealed just what the WAG’s four children are doing while Becky is in the jungle.

She and footballer husband Jamie Vardy are parents to daughter Sofia and son Finley, while Becky is also mum to Megan and Taylor from previous relationships, and Jamie has daughter Ella.

“They’ll be coming out to Australia with her dad, as Jamie has football commitments,” said Sarah.

“At the moment, her lovely nanny Vicky looks after the kids when Jamie’s training, otherwise he’s with them.

“Bex will be so excited to see them all again. She promised they could have a selfie with Ant and Dec!”

Viewers have already seen an emotional side to Becky when she got her luxury item from home: a pillow covered in photographs of her children.

However, she’s also made it clear she’s not a fan of crying.

During a recent jungle chat with campmates, Becky suggested crying is a sign of weakness and she’s tries to avoid shedding tears for that reason.

Becky’s certainly not been a weak link in camp: she’s smashed through a string of trials so far, including last night’s girls versus boys task.

Although the boys ended up winning that, it wasn’t for lack of trying on Becky’s part!

She firmly showed her competitive streak by snapping at teammate Shappi Khorsandi throughout their race across the Australian bush, before telling the girls back at camp Shappi had been lagging behind.

It left comedian Shappi feeling too nervous to say anything in case she got shouted at.

Reacting to the trial via Twitter, Becky’s husband Jamie joked: “Just caught up on last night’s @imacelebrity. If Bex was a little bit more competitive the girls would’ve won that. She needs to take winning more seriously.”

Becky’s competitive streak hasn’t gone down well with everyone, however.

Some viewers have nicknamed her Mardy Vardy, while others said she was a “sore loser” after last night’s antics.

I’m A Celebrity continues 9pm on ITV.
