I’m A Celeb’s Ant brands Becky Vardy “miserable” as viewers lose patience

But Scarlett Moffatt has jumped to the WAG's defence

Rebekah Vardy has earned herself the nickname ‘Mardy Vardy’ after her recent behaviour in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle.

And even the I’m A Celebrity hosts are getting in on the action!

On last night’s spinoff show Extra Camp, talk turned to Becky’s somewhat unimpressed and irritated attitude in the last few days, which included branding newcomer Iain Lee a rather rude word.

Iain’s now up for his second Bushtucker Trial, prompting Dec to say: “Becky is really annoyed with him already so it would be nice if he gets a good few stars.”

Ant then quipped: “Becky? Annoyed? With him?”

Joe Swash then got in on it, joking: “I can’t tell when Becky’s happy or not. Maybe if she was really happy she’d be like [twisted face into a grimace].”

The whole panel were in chuckles watching Joe try to smile.

Scarlett Moffatt, however, leaped to the WAG’s defence, pointing out Becky might be happier now that she’s got her luxury item, a pillow.

“Do you think?” laughed Dec. “She didn’t even look that pleased with the pillow, did she?”

“She’s just got resting [bleep] face, that’s all,” argued Scarlett.

Ant wasn’t convinced, though.

“Do you think?” he mused. “She told the radio to eff off. That’s not resting [bleep] face, that’s just miserable!”

Plenty of viewers agree with Ant, taking to social media during Friday night’s episode to ask if Becky will ever smile in the jungle.

Other viewers, however, have said they’re loving Becky for keeping it real in the jungle.

Meanwhile, back over on Extra Camp later on, Joe pointed out one very good point about Becky.

“I’ve seen her being moody but I haven’t seen any campmates talk about her being moody,” he said, “so perhaps in there she’s different to what we see.”

I’m A Celeb airs 9.10pm on ITV.
