Celebrity Traitors fans believe Joe Marler is the “smartest” contestant among this year’s cast.
At the round table tonight (October 16), the former rugby player, who is currently playing as a Faithful, put Traitor Jonathan Ross down on his board, in the hope that he would be banished.
However, unfortunately for Faithful Clare Balding, the majority put her name down, and she became the second contestant voted off.
Despite the Traitors — Jonathan, Cat Burns and Alan Carr — managing to avoid being caught out, viewers praised Joe for figuring the chat show host out so quickly, especially after others have failed to do so.

“Joe is the smartest but no one is listening to him. And probably out of snobbery,” one user wrote on X.
“Joe actually speaking sense THANK YOU,” another person shared.
“These ‘celebrities’ around the table are horrendously stupid. Aside the 2 Joe’s,” a third remarked.
“Never thought I’d say this but Joe Marler is the only one of them talking sense!!” a fourth said.
“Joe Marler is about only one with any common sense,” a fifth person expressed.
“The faithfuls are bloody useless except Joe Marler,” a sixth said.
Another echoed: “Joe Marler, the most intelligent there and honestly thought it’d be Stephen Fry.”
‘Gutted Clare has gone’
Meanwhile, many were sad to see Clare go so early in the game.
“CLARE COME BACK,” one said.
“RIP Clare Balding, I love you diva,” another shared.
“How on earth would you vote off Clare Bloody Balding? She’s a chuffing genius,” a third said.
“Gutted Clare has gone,” a fourth viewer stated.
“How has this worked, how has Jonathan turned everyone on Clare? I AM BAFFLED AND MIND BLOWN AT THIS,” a fifth person wrote.
