Viewers of Coronation Street have been left confused as to why Tyler Jeffries hasn’t told Amy Barlow about Robert Preston’s engagement to Tyler’s mum, Vicky.
In last night’s episode of the soap (November 6 2019) it was revealed Amy and Tyler were growing close again after Amy’s half-sister, Emma Brooker, caught them texting.
Emma is staying with her dad Steve, and Amy, whilst she recovers from having her appendix out.

As the girls were relaxing on the sofa, Emma noticed Amy was smiling as she texted one of her friends.
When Emma managed to get a look at the message, she realised who Amy was texting.
Tyler got Amy pregnant last year at a party leaving her parents furious as he was 17 and Amy was 14 at the time.
The school girl eventually decided to have an abortion as she struggled with the pressure from her family.
Amy begged Emma to keep her new friendship with Tyler a secret from Steve.

But viewers have been left questioning how Tyler hasn’t mentioned to Amy the fact his mum Vicky is engaged to AND pregnant by Robert Preston – a cobbles resident Amy knows very well.
Fans of the show know Amy’s mother Tracy was married to Robert before Amy was born and the pair reunited a couple of years ago before ending their relationship once again.

Robert is currently leading a double life.
Whilst he’s with Vicky, he is also engaged to Michelle Connor.
Earlier this year, Robert and Michelle split due to the fact she didn’t want any more children after the loss of her son Ruairi, but Robert wanted kids of his own.

After they split, Robert began dating Vicky, who he met whilst he helped Tyler turn his life around.
After Robert ended his relationship with Vicky to get back with Michelle, Vicky discovered she was pregnant.
Tyler then told Robert the news moment before he proposed to Michelle.
Robert then ended up engaged to Vicky as well when she found Michelle’s engagement ring and assumed it was for her.
The truth is set to come out in typically dramatic fashion next week when Robert has a car accident.
Coronation Street is on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
