Coronation Street viewers were left pondering how DI Costello was able to view Betsy Swain’s social media video of her mum Becky Swain in yesterday’s episode (Wednesday, October 15).
Becky realised that her daughter has exposed her identity in a video and demanded that she immediately took it down.
Betsy did just that, but not before Costello viewed it.
Betsy made a mistake
Betsy was putting her fashion college skills into good use last night in Coronation Street, showing off some of her designs to Lisa inspired by none other than Roy Cropper. Betsy must’ve seen something in his aprons and jumpers that we hadn’t because she’d managed to rework some of his outfits into catwalk-worthy looks.
Lisa and Becky both had fun posing in the outfits. And, then Betsy decided to capture the moment on camera before posting it online.
But, it was Becky Swain that ended up having a teenage strop after spotting herself plastered all over the internet. Don’t worry Becky, Betsy Swain isn’t quite of influencer status just yet.
Despite Betsy reassuring Becky that only a couple of friends had watched the video and wouldn’t recognise her as being her ‘dead’ mum, she took the video down. But, not before DI Costello saw it. Oops. Sorry about that.
Coronation Street viewers baffled over Betsy video
Betsy mentioned that only her friends could view her posts yet there was DI Costello watching the clip as if it was the most interesting thing on screen.
Now, how on earth did Costello manage to watch the video if he isn’t one of Betsy’s friends? Well, fans are all rather baffled about the scenes. And, rightly so.
“I’m sorry? Does Costello follow Betsy’s socials?,” one confused fan wrote.
Another fan also wondered: “Why on earth has Betsy got him on her socials?! Convenient that he checked the post out in that hour it was up?”
A third person responded: “It wouldn’t surprise me if Costello made a fake account of someone young to get access to Betsy’s socials!”
A fourth added: “How does Costello have Betsy on social media and how did he view that video? I think there’s gotta be a twist that he might be using Becky’s or someone else’s social media account, but whose is it?”
Will we get more answers soon? Just how did Costello get access to that video? Is he corrupt?
