Is this the end of the road for the relationship between former rugby star James Haskell and TV presenters’ daughter Chloe Madeley?

That’s the question fans may be thinking amid numerous tabloid reports over the last few weeks.

Earlier this month the couple’s five-year marriage came under the spotlight after they were both reportedly spotted without their wedding rings.

But with them both starring – along with daughter Bodhi – in Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair on ITVBe, what is the truth of the situation?

James Haskell and Chloe Madeley news

According to The Sun a couple of weeks ago, Chloe “hid” her wedding ring finger as she shared posts on Instagram concerning a night out with pals.

The claims, published on Saturday October 14, suggested Chloe enjoyed a night off from parenting to spend time with her friends for a “party night”.

Wearing thigh-high stiletto heel boots and a leather jacket as part of her ensemble, it was noted Chloe had her hands placed in her pockets.

It was suggested her outing came as James was in Paris for the Rugby World Cup on Friday (October 13), before he returned to London.

‘Mystery blonde’ claims

Additionally, it was claimed James recently spent an evening just a few miles away in London haunt Chiltern Firehouse.

Furthermore, it was reported he was seen “nattering away to a mystery blonde” in the venue’s outside space.

The Sun also alleged the women “appeared animated by his conversation”.

Chloe was slightly annoyed and upset over the pictures of James and the other woman.

A subsequent report from The Sun the next day (Sunday October 15) quoted an unnamed source as claiming Chloe “was slightly annoyed and upset over the pictures of James and the other woman”.

But in the following days, MailOnline reported the woman was a PR executive who “socialises in the same circles” as James.

Additionally, a spokesperson for James denied any wrongdoing. They said: “The woman pictured is a friend of James’ group who he just met that night. They were simply having a conversation outside so there is nothing to this.”

‘Live a lonely life!’

James, meanwhile, shared a curious Instagram post on the Sunday (October 15). The upload contained a remix of Ace of Base song All That She Wants. In the caption, ex I’m A Celebrity contestant James who is forging a career as a DJ wrote: “Live a lonely life!” Later editing the caption, James clarified: “Lonely life is not a cryptic message it’s the words to the song.”

Previously speaking about moving on from rugby in 2016, James reportedly described himself as “a bit of a workaholic, a bit of a loner”.

However, Chloe recently told The Sun she felt abandoned by James as he DJs, reportedly saying: “It’s [blank] hard. You’re on your own a lot.”

Additionally, Chloe, who appeared on Dancing On Ice in 2011, opened up about an argument they had previously earlier this month.

She revealed: “One of the biggest rows we’ve ever had was on camera. It happened when he was in Ibiza and posted photos of other girls’ asses.

“My argument was: ‘I don’t mind that that is you job but I don’t want you putting it on social media when everyone knows I’m your wife.'”

New reality series

Chloe’s admission about the argument came during her reality series, which began airing at the start of October.

Today (Monday October 23) it was revealed another a huge row between them is set to feature on the programme. In it, Chloe is said to tell James she ‘wants to kill him’.

As Chloe is seen putting clothes into a wardrobe, her husband tells her she is making the furniture rattle due to her “massive heavy hands”.

But Chloe fires back: “I swear to god the reason you got voted out of I’m A Celebrity is because of your big fat fingers. You got so frustrated that you yelled at Ant and Dec. That’s where you lost the viewers and you lost Ant and Dec, and this is literally our marriage. That scene is our marriage. You getting frustrated about something that is [blank] all to do with me and then yelling at me thinking it is my fault because I am the closest person to you at this time. This is why I want to kill you, which is what we were talking about earlier.”

However, amid all of the back and forth reports, it has been speculated the antics may have been a ploy to promote the ITVBe series.

An unnamed source accused them: “Celebrities usually do all they can to shroud any kind of relationship troubles in secrecy. Maybe that changes when you have a television show on the airwaves.”

‘Rows with Richard Madeley’

Nonetheless, other publications have recently claimed Chloe has received support from her TV star parents Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan.

Furthermore, Good Morning Britain co-host Richard has not been “happy” with James, it is alleged.

A source is said to have explained to OK! magazine: “Richard especially isn’t happy at all with the way James has been conducting himself. He’s going to be having words with him about his behaviour. As a father, he wants the best for his daughter and he won’t be afraid to make his feelings heard. Judy also lives and breathes for her children. You don’t want to mess with her when it comes to her kids.”

‘Richard used one of those F-words’

Meanwhile, at the start of 2023, James shared how he threw Richard out of the kitchen over the festive period. He also suggested Richard had previously launched profanity in his direction.

Appearing on This Morning, James suggested Christmas had been a success as his father-in-law wasn’t permitted to cook.

James said at the time: “[Richard] can get quite fiery in the kitchen.”

James also recalled meeting Richard for the first time on Boxing Day – and how he was warned by Chloe.

James went on: “I was told he can be a little bit tricky in the kitchen, don’t go in there. Of course that was a red rag to a bull.”

He added: “Son-in-law wanting to make a good impression. So I went in there and gave him a bit of chat. He used one of those F-words.

“So, this year he was thrown out of the kitchen because we wanted to be stress-free.”

ED! has contacted representatives for both James Haskell and Chloe Madeley for reported claims made about them.
