Bros star Luke Goss has reportedly turned down the chance to appear on BBC One dance show Strictly Come Dancing because he is “too famous”.
A source told The Sun that the When Will I Be Famous? hitmaker thinks he is too big for the show, following the surprise success of the band’s BBC4 documentary After The Screaming Stops.
“Strictly bosses are desperate to bag Luke as the star of their line-up this year as he’s so hot right now,” they said, but added: “He’s adamant he’s not taking part.”
His twin brother Matt took part in the Strictly Christmas special back in 2013, but the appearance failed to relaunch the Bros singer’s career.
It’s thought that the 50-year-old drummer, who lives in Los Angles, is worried that going on the show will damage his acting career, and he wants to concentrate all his energies on that.

The source added: “He takes his acting career in the US very seriously and feels the show isn’t high-brow enough for him.”
It’s also thought that Luke isn’t keen to sign up to Strictly because of the recent controversy surrounding the show.
Winner of last year’s show Stacey Dooley recently split from her boyfriend and got together with her dance partner Kevin Clifton, while Seann Walsh split from his long-term girlfriend after kissing his professional partner, married Katya Jones.
The source revealed of Luke: “He’s in a position to be able to choose what projects he takes on and doesn’t want to associate with anything too low rent, especially given the recent scandals.”

Luke himself is no stranger to controversy, after recently being hit with rumours that he had split from his wife of 25 years, Shirley Lewis, over claims that he had cheated.
However, at the TV BAFTAs last weekend, it looked as if the couple had kissed and made up, as Shirley shared a selfie of the pair looking happy and loved-up in the audience.
She also shared a picture of herself with the twin brothers posing next to a giant BAFTA mask, with the caption: “#teambros.”
Ent Daily has contacted reps for Luke for comment.
