Pete Sandiford of Gogglebox fame surprised viewers last night (Friday February 18) with a sight they weren’t expecting to see.
The reality TV favourite, 26, joined sister Sophie Sandiford as the couch potato critic series returned for a 19th series.
However, Pete endured a “wardrobe malfunction” during his appearance on the show that tickled those who noticed it.

The dad-of-one spent part of last night’s episode, when he was shown on screen, curled up with his feet and legs tucked up behind him.
This is a position Pete normally assumes on the show, sitting alongside Sophie.

However, observant fans noticed Pete maybe wasn’t as TV-ready as he could’ve been when he shifted about.
At one point when Pete was briefly shown sitting himself down in his seat, a hole in the crotch of his jeans was evident!
How viewers reacted
Adding a crying-laughing emoji to their post, one viewer tweeted halfway through the programme: “Did anyone else just notice @Petesandiford ripped jeans on the crotch area? #Gogglebox.”
Someone replied, also crying-laughing : “Yes my mum noticed it.”

Pete then light-heartedly admitted to his clothing fail, responding to them both: “Eagle eyes.”
The original poster then went on to reply: “Ahahah getting use out of them I see @Petesandiford.”
And someone else then inserted themselves into the thread, teasing: “Someone’s been looking.”
‘Pete’s storm damage’
After the show aired, someone else picked up on Pete’s threadbare denims – and joked they may have been damaged by Storm Eunice.
They tweeted at him: “The O2 stadium with its storm damage now resembles @Petesandiford boxers! #Gogglebox.”

A very amused Pete responded with four laughing emojis… but did not clarify why he wore such holey bottoms when appearing on the box.
However, it isn’t the first time Pete has appeared on the show with ragged trousers.
In November 2020 he continued to wear a pair of jeans with an unfortunate gap after Sophie ripped his back pocket in a previous episode.

And in March of 2021, Pete also baffled viewers as he revealed his “shredded” underwear with a ripped waistband also contained a number of holes.
He said at the time: “I daren’t part with them, I’ve had them since I was 15!”
Time for another shopping trip, Pete?
