Louise Redknapp criticised by Strictly viewers for ‘inappropriate’ performance

Did she make a big mistake?

Louise Redknapp took to the stage on It Takes Two last night to sing Twofaced – one of her greatest hits – as she relaunches her solo career.

But though she won a lot of respect for her performance, many fans were rather shocked by her choice of song on the teatime show.

The song includes the line “stop your bitching” and some fans were stunned that Louise sang it without any thought to the audience who would be watching at that time of day.

“Don’t particularly think the term ‘bitching’ in the context used was appropriate for that time of evening,” wrote one viewer.

“Young impressionable peeps watching.”

And another added: “Not sure I’m happy about my 8 year old singing stop your bitching at the top of her voice!”

But some viewers backed Louise’s choice of song, pointing out she’d performed it many times before.

“I still have a performance of hers on CD:UK recorded on VHS!” said one dedicated Louise fan.

“No one cared about the swearing back then & that was a kids’ show!”

Louise’s song wasn’t the only thing attracting attention, however.

Eagle-eyed viewers also clocked that she was still wearing her wedding ring despite her marriage to ex-footballer Jamie reportedly being over.

We can bet all eyes will be on Louise now as she embarks on her solo tour.

We’ll definitely be watching!
