Gogglebox fans angry at ‘fake’ set up as Stephen Webb ‘flashes’ due to ‘wardrobe malfunction’

Viewers took to social media to air their annoyance

Gogglebox fans called out the show as they accused producers of “faking” a segment with Stephen Webb.

As viewers watched the Friday night staple yesterday (April 22), the cast discussed Britain’s Got Talent‘s much-anticipated return, as well as new dating show Romeo and Duet, hosted by Oti Mabuse.

But a small segment really got people wound up.

The clip in question saw long-time cast member Stephen skipping in his living room.

Stephen, who has recently lost more than a stone, was exercising before the credits began when his trousers “accidentally” slipped down, revealing his boxers.

After the unlikely mishap, he said: “I thought I’d try skipping in the house. 20 minutes a day. I’m not very good at it, am I?”

But viewers weren’t having any of it, with some taking to social media to air their thoughts about the Brighton-based hairdresser’s supposed accident.

Gogglebox fans left unimpressed

One disgruntled viewer tweeted: “Please don’t lower yourself to skipping and your trousers fall down! That was such an obvious set-up. Not funny.”

Another wrote: “Of course his trousers fell.”

While a third said: “I’ve never heard of anyone’s trousers falling down whilst skipping.”

How long has Stephen been on Gogglebox?

Stephen, 50, appears on Gogglebox with his husband Daniel Lustig-Webb.

He’s been on the show since the very first episode aired in 2013, although he was originally joined by his ex, Christopher Ashby-Steed.
