Scarlett Moffatt reveals all about her brand new presenting gig

The star says she "can't wait" to get stuck into the new show

I’m A Celebrity… winner Scarlett Moffatt appeared on Lorraine on Wednesday morning to discuss her brand new show Streetmate.

It was recently announced that the 26-year-old would be hosting the dating show when it returns.

Streetmate originally aired in 1998 and was fronted by Davina McCall before being taken over by Holly Willoughby in 2007.

The show will see hopeful love-seekers hit the streets of their hometown in the hope of getting a date with attractive passers-by.

Speaking to stand-in host Christine Lampard, Scarlett expressed how excited she was to have landed the job.

She said: “It is coming back. I’m so excited. I still remember watching it.”

The former Gogglebox star added: “I remember both Davina and Holly doing it and they are both people I aspire to be like.

“They’re both amazing women who make presenting look so easy when it’s not.

“I can’t wait. I love talking to random people, it’s one of my favourite things to do.

“I am that person on a bus who will come and sit next to you, and everyone likes a happy ending.”

Hoping to help members of public find love, Scarlett said: “I just feel like loads of people these days meet online or on dating apps.

“So to bring people together to meet face to face, that’s exciting.”

Since leaving the Aussie jungle, Scarlett’s newfound stardom has gone from strength to strength.

It was revealed earlier this week that the star has already made £1 million after landing huge primetime TV jobs.

During the chat, Scarlett also spoke about working alongside her “childhood heroes” Ant and Dec on Saturday Night Takeaway.

She said: “The advice they kept giving us is to just be me. That gives me so much confidence in who I am.

“They’ve also been helping with autocue and talk back. I just feel very privileged.”

Fans were quick to take to Twitter to praise the star.

One wrote: “@ScarlettMofatt loved seeing your smiley face on #Lorraine you’re doing great in your new job [sic].”

Another said: “Just watching @ScarlettMoffatt on #Lorraine makes me smile,”

“@ScarlettMoffatt is just too sweet, a reality star who truly deserves the amazing gigs she gets @reallorraine,”  a third tweeted.

We couldn’t agree more!
