Craig Phillips reveals worries for daughter Nelly as he looks forward to arrival of second baby

Big Brother champ is expecting a baby boy with wife Laura

Craig Phillips recently revealed that he’s about to become a father for the second time.

Taking to Instagram, Big Brother‘s first-ever winner revealed the happy news.

He posted a picture of himself and wife Laura holding baby scan photos.

The couple’s 17-month-old daughter Nelly was also in the picture – and Craig revealed she’s “super excited” about the upcoming birth.

However, speaking exclusively to Entertainment Daily, Craig has revealed he’s worried about how hands-on Nelly will be when the new baby arrives.

When will Craig Phillips become a father-of-two?

Laura is due to give birth to the couple’s second child – a boy – in December.

By then, little Nelly – who Craig assures us is a “very good girl” – will be 22 months old.

And he’s worried about how “touchy feely” she’ll be with her new baby brother.

Craig exclusively told ED!: “She’ll be 22 months old when he arrives so she’ll probably have an understanding of what’s happening.”

He added: “She has her dollies and teddy bears now and she loves holding and cuddling them. She’s very touchy feely.

“She’s shouting ‘dolly’ now,” he added.

However, although Nelly means well, Craig told us he isn’t sure that his daughter will be very “delicate” with their new family member.

“Looking at how she throws the dollies around, I don’t think she’ll be very delicate,” he said laughing.

Nelly’s poor dollies

“When something else catches her attention, the dollies get dropped on their head!” he joked.

Hoping the same fate won’t befall their new bundle of joy, Craig revealed he was “very pleased” when he and Laura discovered they were expecting a boy.

“I was very pleased, really pleased. He’ll carry on the Phillips name,” he said.

When something else catches her attention, the dollies get dropped on their head!

“I’m the only remaining Phillips alive in our family, so it was important really and a little selfishness from me. I was kind of hoping for a boy,” he added.

Craig said Laura told him: “You can’t say that!”

“And I was like: ‘But I am actually hoping for a boy.’ And yes, we’ve got a boy on the way.”

The name’s “top secret”

However, when it comes to names, spoilsport Craig is remaining tight-lipped.

“We have got a name but it’s top secret, we haven’t told anybody yet,” he told ED!, apologetically.

“We were toying around with three or four names for Nelly and it was stressful coming up to the birth. But as soon as Nelly came out if felt right and looking at her now she’s definitely a Nelly.

“We were like that with the boys’ names, but we seem to be set now and we’re sticking to it,” he concluded.
