“Game plan” Iain Lee reaches a new low in the jungle

It never rains, but it pours...

| Updated:

It feels like things just go from bad to worse for Iain Lee in the I’m A Celebrity jungle. Viewers have been on his back for backing out of some trials, and then he was caught up in “strawberry-gate” when he and Amir snaffled the camp’s berries.

And things got even worse in the jungle tonight when some of his campmates accused him of having a “game plan” to attempt to sway the public’s opinion of him.

As he was drying his shirt over the fire, Becky fired some shots, saying: “Look at you, you secret game planner…buzzing that you are not going out tomorrow, you’ve got a game plan you have.”

Iain immediately denied any such thing, saying: “Shut the front door, I’ve got an extra day, that’s all.”

He was rounded on by Jamie, who said: “You are definitely playing a game. Yeah he was itching to go yesterday and now he’s the happiest man on earth!”

“Come on don’t tell me you are not playing a game, I was on to you three days ago.”

Becky then added: “Watch this one, not only does he nick strawberries but he’s also got a game plan.”

Iain took straight off to see Amir, who was doing some washing-up, and moaned: ““That strawberry stuff had better be funny for the hassle that I am getting.”

And although Amir tried to settle Iain down by telling him the campmates knew who really ate the majority of the strawberries, the radio DJ continued to be upset.

And in a Bush Tucker Telegraph, Amir admitted that he’d probably come off better out of the whole thing than Iain, and struggled to keep the smile off his face.

Dejected, Iain then sought out Shappi to try and make himself feel better, telling her: “I can’t wait to get out of here, I don’t think they’ll bother watching it cos they’ve made their minds up.

“I hate it, I hate it. It’s made me feel [bleep].”

Poor old Iain! To make matters worse, Shappi was soon voted out of the jungle, costing him his most trusted confidante.

On the plus side, his travails have appeared to turn the tide of public opinion of him, with many believing he had been made a scapegoat.

One wrote: “They’re all so mean to Iain! It’s quite sad,” although others didn’t necessarily agree.

Only time will tell whether Iain truly does have a “game plan” – we’ll see if he ends up King of the Jungle in a couple of weeks!
