TV star and singer Frankie Bridge has undergone a dental implant and documented the aftermath with her fans on YouTube.
The What About Us hitmaker, who is a former member of The Saturdays and currently a panelist on Loose Women, also runs her own YouTube channel, where she keeps her audience up to date with what she’s been up to.
Frankie Bridge ‘nervous’ about dental implant
In her latest vlog, uploaded today (December 1), Frankie revealed she was on the way to the dentist to have an implant on one of her teeth.
While filming herself in the car, Frankie described the experience once she had the procedure.
“I was so nervous, guys,” she admitted, adding: “I don’t like the dentist but I’m normally alright.”
“I was so scared. The thought of someone drilling something into your jaw just makes me feel bleurgh! They did all the numbing and stabbed around to see if I could feel it and then all of a sudden I could feel a bit and that made me panic because I was like, ‘Oh my god, he’s going to start,'” Frankie continued.
With fears of feeling the drill and believing it would “kill”, Frankie said it went fine.
“It took like 25 minutes, which is ridiculous,” she mentioned. Confessing that she hadn’t looked at the results yet, Frankie took a peek in the mirror and stated, “Oh, it’s not pretty!”
Frankie said the dental implant is “expensive” and further mentioned that “you’re not even getting something nice out of it”.
“It makes me feel like an old lady with a gap in my tooth,” she added, explaining why she went ahead with the procedure.
‘That completely wiped me out’
Frankie explained she was more nervous about the side effects after the surgery as opposed to having it done.
While feeling numb, she was anxious for the pain to later kick in.
“I’m going to pick up some good painkillers, and I’m just going to keep on top of them because I cannot be dealing with that. I’m hoping I don’t swell,” Frankie continued.
Later in the vlog, Frankie appeared in the car again and revealed that her main side effect following the implant was a “raging headache”.
“I spent the rest of the day on the sofa. Literally, that completely wiped me out,” she explained.
