BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty’s sadness following death of her cat

Bereft after the death of 'sweet girl Missy'

BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty was supported by fans after she revealed a sad family loss.

The star, 51, famous for her hard-hitting interviewing skills, previously shared a heartfelt goodbye after her beloved cat Missy has died.

Naga admitted that losing Missy left “a massive hole in our hearts and home”. And she was soon supported by her followers, and doubtless her remaining two cats – Bella and Xena.

Tribute to co-star Carol slammed

Naga hit the headlines again earlier this month for her behaviour towards Carol Kirkwood as she left BBC Breakfast.

Carol said goodbye to the show after almost three decades on the BBC on April 1.

Firstly, Naga did not share a message during the lengthy pre-made VT for Carol. Then, when she appeared in the studio for the weather presenter’s final farewell, viewers convinced themselves that the ladies’ banter went deeper than just on-screen jokes.

Carol thanked her co-star for all showing up for her and slyly remarked: “And even you, Nags!” In response, Naga jokingly said: “I’m just waiting for the countdown for you go!” while pretending to look at a watch on her wrist before everyone burst into laughter.

Viewers continued to react to Naga’s behaviour, with one user writing: “Naga’s arm looks like it’s been a bit twisted.”
