Concerns for Lisa Snowdon as she admits ‘a few things need investigating’ following scan

The scan can be used to detect the early signs of cancer

Lisa Snowdon has revealed she’s undergone a private scan used to detect the early signs of cancer and admitted “there are a few things that do need investigating”.

The model and This Morning regular, 53, who celebrated her 10th anniversary with fiancé George Smart earlier this week, posted a picture of herself sitting outside the MRI scanner earlier today (November 8).

After sharing the post, Lisa was soon flooded with support from concerned followers.

‘I want to be even more proactive with my health’

Wearing a pair of navy pyjamas, Lisa was seen perched outside of the MRI scanner in two pictures posted on Instagram.

She shared: “Taking care of myself has been a non-negotiable recently and this year I wanted to be even more proactive about my health. That’s why I chose to get scanned with @ezrainc.

“Early cancer detection genuinely saves lives, and with family history always at the back of my mind, I knew this was something I needed to do for myself. It’s not about being fearful – it’s about being informed and taking control.”

She then shared more details of the scan, which Holly Willoughby also recently underwent.

“What I love about Ezra is their mission to make preventative screening more accessible. They’ve reduced the cost of full-body scans by 85% over the past decade and are working to make it even more affordable. That’s the kind of innovation we need in healthcare – bringing life-saving technology within reach.”

‘A few things do need investigating’

Lisa then said: “The whole experience was seamless (and yes, the Ezra pyjamas they give you are an absolute dream – mine were definitely a conversation starter at home). But beyond the comfort, it’s the peace of mind that’s priceless.

“If you’ve been thinking about prioritising your health this way, Ezra is now available in London. We all deserve to be proactive, not reactive, when it comes to our wellbeing.”

She then shared details of her results, sparking concerns from her followers. Lisa said: “There were a few things that came back from my scans that do need investigating but at least I know and can take action.

“Your health is your wealth lovelies. Look after it.”

‘Hope it’s nothing too concerning?’

After Lisa revealed that she needs further tests, one follower said: “Wise words darling! Hope nothing too concerning was flagged up?” “Hope you’re okay,” a worried second follower said.

Others wanted more details of the scan, which Lisa provided. One asked: “Just looked it up and it doesn’t scan chest heart lungs or breasts so seems a lot of money for potentially something to be missed in those areas?”

The star shared: “I have a yearly mammogram and ultrasound due to family history. Brain, spine lungs, stomach and pelvis – all crucial areas to check.”

Another asked: “Did you find the scan claustrophobic at all? I’m not very good in small spaces.”

“I didn’t, at all,” Lisa said. “I was a little concerned but they talked to me through the process so didn’t feel alone.”

How much does it cost?

On the Ezra Scans website, full-body scans start at £1,495, and go up to £5,495 for a spinal and neurological scan.

Lisa’s family history

In 2012, Lisa had a scare after a routine mammogram found a micro-calcification. It was a common and non-dangerous finding, but it prompted her to advocate for early detection and annual checks, especially given her family history.

Both her grandmother and aunt have had breast cancer. As a result, Lisa is a long-term ambassador for the charity Breast Cancer Now.
