Tesco shoppers go wild for mulled wine Christmas pudding topped in glitter

The Christmas treats keep on coming! Hot on the heels of caramel and orange-flavoured Cadbury Mini Rolls comes more news of festive sweet treats.

Shoppers at Tesco have gone wild in the aisles for the store’s latest launch from its Finest range.

This year, the store is offering Christmas puddings that are doused in mulled wine.

And, by the time December 25 rolls around, it’ll have been maturing for nine months.

The blurb says it contains sultanas, dried cranberries, candied diced pear with a mulled wine sauce centre, coated in edible gold glitter.

The Hidden Clementine Christmas Pudding – with the festive citrus fruit in the centre – is sure to be a hit this Yuletide.

“Looks to me like a copy of Heston’s?” one fan commented, referring to chef Heston Blumenthal’s Waitrose-sold hidden orange Christmas pudding.

While there’s also a version topped with cherries.

They’re all priced at £5.

And, not to be left out, the store is also selling doggie Christmas treats.
